After a quick blur of faxing, forms, offers, and the related stress of buying a home... the offer was accepted and we were able to tour our new house with my fancy camera. Here are some quick snapshots (I was going for quantity over quality here...) of the inside of this beautiful three bedroom, three bathroom 2000 square foot in the Central District.
Stay tuned for housewarming party details! :-p

Leading out of the guest room toward the entryway. Watch your step...
Stairs leading upstairs from the entryway... please hold the handrails and hold small children by the hand.
These are the stairs on the south side of the living / dining / kitchen floor (two). To the left (and out of view) is the kitchen, to the right (and behind) is the fireplace / living room.
Bar goes here. When we first saw the house on Friday -- the doors were off. In other words, they're removable! Figure a mini-fridge, a small sink (ideally), storage for wine, liquor and stemware. Once the bar is complete, there'll be a "stock the bar" party. Or a drive to the nearest California Costco... both?
This is Richard's room... err, the kitchen. The kitchen will need a refrigerator (to hold the mixers, of course) if anyone knows anyone with a Home Depot discount or that is itchin' to buy an expensive housewarming gift? The gas range will get lots of use by the master-chef owner, and there is sufficient counter space and lots of storage. Add to the wishlist: barstools. There's a dishwasher to the left of the sink... can't remember if there's a garbage disposal or not -- but it'll be an improvement over either of our current kitchen sinks!
Fridge goes here. (again, duh)
Kitchen close-up. Spacious work prep area and gas range. Lots of outlets.
Here's the amazing living room shot from the kitchen. The front of the house is out the windows ahead. As you can see, there's plenty of room for big-screen plasmas and comfy furniture. Shopping spree!!
Close-up of the fire place... wanna bet it never gets used? ;-)
